Churchwood Forest School Holiday Club

We are excited to announce that we will be hosting our very own Churchwood Forest School holiday club this summer in our woodland – great outdoor fun for children aged 4-13 years of age!

Who is Running it?

Emma Draper, a fully DBS checked Level 3 Forest School Leader, who is passionate about encouraging children to have fun in the outdoors. She has been teaching Forest School for the last four years and is thrilled to be running the holiday club at Churchwood Valley.

What is Forest School?

Originally a Scandinavian idea, Forest Schools operate on the principle that children of all ages can benefit greatly from the hands-on learning opportunities present in a woodland environment. In an age when many children have few opportunities to be outdoors, it offers them a way to learn and experience a broad curriculum in a woodland setting.
