Churchwood Valley Forest School Holiday Club, South Hams

We are proud to host our very own Churchwood Forest School, South Hams, in our woodland. It’s a brilliant opportunity for children from 1-13 years to learn new skills, get creative, forge friendships and, most importantly, have lots of fun in the great outdoors! With holidays clubs, parent & child sessions, parties, family forest days and more it's the perfect setting to get involved with nature.

What is Forest School?

Originally a Scandinavian concept, Forest Schools operate on the principle that children of all ages can greatly benefit from the hands-on learning opportunities present in a woodland environment. In an age where digital devices dominate, it offers children a way to be outdoors, learning and experiencing a broad curriculum in a woodland setting.

Our forest school has been a great and growing success since it started in 2017. It's run by a team of experienced, DBS-checked, Level 3 qualified Forest Leaders who are passionate about encouraging children to have fun outdoors.

Churchwood Valley guests are entitled to a discount per child, per day. Holiday clubs run in all school holidays and welcomes children from 4-13. They give your children the chance to explore, build, climb and make friends in the woods, whilst still being a safe fun environment. Bluebells is a friendly stay and play group for 1-5 year olds to come with their parents or carers. There is also the ability for families to fire facilities, book parties, Family Forest Days and arrange adult-only sessions in the woods - all with a dedicated Forest Leader.
